Question by : What is a good baritone saxophone jazz ligature?
I’m upgrading to a new mouthpiece from the stock mouthpiece in a few days and I want to find a new ligature as well. I have been browsing but I’m not sure what to look for. I am primarily playing jazz and I want to find a good jazz ligature. Keep in mind that I don’t want to spend very much money on the ligature. What are some good ligatures that aren’t terribly expensive?

I was wondering what is a good audition tune for jazz. I play trumpet.

Transcribe something by Miles Davis.
Example: Doxy (by Sonny Rollins)- transcribe the head and first chorus

Chet Baker or Freddie Hubbard would be pretty solid too.

Question by : What is the best electric bass guitar for replacing an upright bass if I play for a jazz band?
I want an electric bass that will be able to take the place of my upright bass that currently, I carry around gig to gig. It is a huge pain in the butt, and while the other members of my band might hate me, I am willing to take that risk. But I really need a warm, acoustic sounding bass that I use in place of my upright that my bandmates will be alright with. price range up to 1700.

If you want to play jazz, get only the fender basses…
There is a spcific model that calls jazz somthing…check here out
