This show was extremely disappointing to me. Not because the performance sucked, MCR was awesome. What pissed me off was that before the show started, there were a ton of fans pressed against the barricade and the security guards were actually pulling some people out. But how does House of Blues (HOB) respond? They start selling bottles of water for .00! An HOB staffer told me later that MCR had that as part of their deal with HOB. Regardless of which party let that happen, I thought it was pathetic to charge fans .00 for water when they had been waiting for so long and were so packed in that people were being pulled out.
Also, it’s standard for a photographer to be able to shoot the first 3 songs. MCR had us all booted after only 2 songs. Then later when I was snapping shots from the back, HOB security said I couldn’t even stay in the venue with my "large camera" and I was led out by 2 security guards. MCR also had that stipulated with HOB.
I’ve almost grown accustomed to HOB being full of a bunch of assholes but if it’s true that MCR really did stipulate the .00 water and place stupid rules on photographers, then they should be ashamed of themselves.
